Gema Vega Díaz is an Spanish percussionist and timpanist focused on orchestral percussion, possessing also a broad solo and chamber music repertoire. She has a strong commitment with sound care and quality and most importantly, with reading music beyond the scores: the search for the meaning and the beauty hidden behind the notes.

Gema is currently working with several professional orchestras for the season 2024/2025. She will collaborate with Rotterdam Philarmonic in the Dutch premier of the Negro Folk Symphony. She will also be immersed with the Nederlands Philarmosich Orkest for more than a month, preparing the Opera production of ‘Die Frau ohne Schatten’ by Strauss. She will be also joining the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria and Phil Zuid.
